Checkered HoodieSunlight glinted through passing clouds. It warmed my face. I stretched out andCheckered Hoodie
lazily spread my arms against cool, green grass. The only sound was pencil on
paper as he steadily drew with a carefully posed hand.
My fingers touched the brim of his old, fading sneaker and casually I
turned my head to glance at him. His eyes met mine. I smiled twirling his shoelace
around my finger.
“What are you thinking about?” he spoke.
“Hmmm?” I dazed listening to his rhythmic sketching.
He rolled his eyes.
